Boat bottom abstracts

A few years ago while in Mexico I became entranced with finding abstract paintings in the walls in old town Mazatlan. Now my friend Jackie has started me on a new quest--finding abstract paintings in upturned skiffs. We went out yesterday morning and here are a few of my finds.

This is just one of the upturned boats that we used as raw material.  Can you believe what can be created from this?  I'm hooked.  I think I'll be hanging around the beaches and boatyards on our trip to Maritime Canada.
